Minerals
Magnesium, zinc, iron, calcium, potassium, selenium, iodine and trace blends. Every label gives the elemental amount in milligrams, not just the weight of the compound, because the two differ by a factor of ten on some salts. Form is named in full. Price per milligram of elemental content sits under each price.

Here is the arithmetic that trips up almost every shopper. Magnesium citrate at 1,500 mg per serving delivers roughly 160 mg of actual magnesium, because the citrate molecule accounts for most of that weight. Magnesium oxide is around 60 percent elemental by mass; glycinate is closer to 14 percent. A bottle shouting 1,500 mg and a bottle quietly stating 200 mg elemental can be the same purchase, and the cheaper-looking one is often the worse buy. The elemental figure goes in the main amount column here, with the compound weight underneath it.
The same applies across the range. Zinc picolinate, gluconate, citrate and oxide all carry different elemental fractions. Iron as ferrous sulfate, bisglycinate or fumarate likewise. Calcium carbonate is 40 percent elemental; citrate is 21.
Chelates, oxides, citrates and picolinates are all named along with their elemental percentage, so the conversion is already done for you.
Independent laboratory assay on every lot covers label accuracy and heavy metal contamination, which matters more in this aisle than most, because mineral salts are mined. Under-strength lots are withdrawn and their certificates remain published. Iron bottles carry the accidental-overdose warning the FDA requires. Because the per-milligram price is calculated on elemental content, comparisons across forms are honest.
