Percentages and milligrams describe the same thing and confuse people in opposite directions. One gram at 15 percent is 150 mg. An eighth, 3.5 grams, at the same assay is 525 mg. Both numbers are printed because flower shoppers think in percent and everybody else thinks in milligrams, and the per-milligram price lets you hold a jar of buds up against a bottle of drops.
What to read on the listing: cultivar, harvest date, how long it hung to dry, hand trimmed or machine trimmed, and total terpene percentage. Moisture content is included, which matters because a wet gram weighs more and assays lower. Smalls and shake are priced separately and labeled as such rather than being mixed into the top shelf.
Federal hemp rules cap total THC at 0.3 percent by dry weight, and every certificate shows that figure explicitly. State law varies. Smokable hemp is restricted in a handful of states, so check yours before ordering; the listing flags where it cannot ship.
