Drostanolone is dihydrotestosterone with a methyl group at the 2 alpha position, molecular mass about 304.5. The propionate is a three carbon ester on the 17 beta hydroxyl, taking the molecule to roughly 360.5, so the parent accounts for about 84 percent of the labelled mass. That is a high fraction by the standards of this shelf, where eleven carbon esters leave the parent at under two thirds.
Short esters are less lipophilic than long ones and hydrolyse faster, which are chemical properties of the bond rather than instructions about anything. The practical consequence for a reference material is solubility in the carrier and stability on the shelf, both of which the listing states.
