Greens & Wholefood
Greens powders and single-ingredient green foods: spirulina, chlorella, wheatgrass, barley grass, moringa, beet and kale. Every blend on this page lists each ingredient with its own milligram amount, never a combined blend figure. Scoop weight in grams and servings per tub are stated, with cost per serving under the price.

The proprietary blend is this category's oldest problem. A tub advertising 75 ingredients in an 8 gram scoop holds, on average, about 107 mg of each, and most of that 8 grams is usually one or two cheap bulk fillers with the exotic names present in trace amounts. Nobody can check which, because the label gives a single combined total. We will not list a product that refuses the breakdown, so every greens listing here shows per-ingredient amounts in descending order by weight.
Scoop size is the second number to read. Scoops on this page run from 6 to 14 grams, and a tub with 30 small servings sitting beside a tub with 30 large ones at the same price is not the same deal. Servings per container and cost per serving are both printed.
Single ingredients are often better value and they are stocked plainly: spirulina and chlorella in tablets and powder, wheatgrass by the gram, beet root with its nitrate percentage where tested.
Heavy metals are the genuine testing concern with algae and leafy crops, which concentrate whatever is in their water and soil. Every lot goes to an outside laboratory for lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury, plus identity and microbials, and the certificates are published, including the ones that failed.
