Description
Two hundred and fifty milligrams in a bottle sized to fit a carry-on liquids bag. This is a CBD oil travel size and nothing else: the same oil as the full size bottle in a smaller container, at a higher price per milligram, which is what you are actually buying when you buy a travel size of anything. Both figures are printed so the trade is visible rather than implied.
What a cbd oil travel size holds
Total milligrams, bottle volume and the strength per millilitre that follows from dividing one by the other.
- CBD oil travel size: 250mg of cannabidiol per bottle
- Volume: sized to fit within carry-on liquid limits
- Oil: the same formulation as the full size bottle
- Strength per millilitre: printed on the label and on this listing
- Dropper: graduated glass, same as the full size
- Price: $24 a bottle, with the cost per milligram printed openly
The honest arithmetic on a small bottle
Twenty four dollars for 250mg is nine and a half cents a milligram. A 3,000 mg bottle of the same kind of oil works out near two. A CBD oil travel size is therefore four or five times the price per milligram of a full size bottle, entirely because the glass, the dropper, the label and the certificate cost much the same at any volume. We print that number under the price anyway, including here where it argues for buying the large bottle and decanting, which is the point of printing it at all.
Why a cbd oil travel size exists despite that
Carry-on liquid rules, mostly, and the fact that a glass dropper bottle in a suitcase is a risk. A small bottle also lets somebody try a formulation before buying a large one, which is a reasonable use of nine cents a milligram. Decanting into your own container works and costs less, with the caveat that you lose the batch number on the label and therefore the link to the certificate. The rest of the tincture range runs from 500 mg up to 9,000 mg with the per milligram figure under every option.
Same oil, and what that means
Same extract, same carrier, same spectrum and same testing as the full size. A CBD oil travel size is not a diluted version or a different formulation sold under a smaller label, which happens in this market and is worth ruling out explicitly. The strength per millilitre is printed on both bottles so the comparison is checkable rather than a matter of trust, and the certificate for the lot is the same document.
Decanting, and what it costs you
Pouring a large bottle into a small container is cheaper per milligram and perfectly workable, and the cost is the paperwork. The batch number lives on the printed label, so a decanted bottle is no longer traceable to a certificate, and if a lot is withdrawn later there is nothing on the bottle to tell you whether yours came from it. A CBD oil travel size keeps that link intact, which is the one argument for it that is not about convenience.
Testing
Every batch is assayed by a laboratory this company has no ownership stake in: the cannabinoid profile, the delta-9 figure, pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents and microbials. Batches coming in under their printed milligrams are pulled from sale and their certificates stay on the public results page next to the passing ones. On a small bottle the fill accuracy matters proportionally more, because the same absolute variation is a larger share of 250mg than of 3,000.
Travelling with it, stated carefully
Rules differ by jurisdiction and we are not going to tell you what is lawful where you are going. Hemp derived cannabidiol products are treated differently in different countries and in different states, and a bottle that is lawful at the point of purchase is not necessarily lawful at the destination. Checking the rules for your route is your job rather than ours, and the regulator’s position on cannabidiol products is published at the World Health Organization for the international framing.
