Description

A one gram CBG isolate slab, no terpenes. It behaves like the cannabidiol slab on a nail, melting clean and tasting of almost nothing, and it costs more per gram, which is the honest comparison and the one that decides whether anybody should buy it. Cannabigerol is the scarce compound here and the price follows from agronomy rather than from anything we did.

What is in a gram of cbg isolate slab

An assay percentage, a weight and the milligram conversion, with the certificate doing that conversion for each lot.

  • CBG isolate slab: one gram of cannabigerol isolate
  • Assay percentage: stated on the certificate rather than promised on the label
  • Terpenes: none added, so there is no flavour
  • Form: pressed slab, breaks into portions with a tool
  • Sold as: unflavoured bulk material by weight, not portioned
  • Price: $35 a gram, with the price per milligram printed under it

Why a cbg isolate slab costs more

Cannabigerol is the precursor the plant converts into other cannabinoids as it matures, so a mature hemp plant has very little left. Producing it means harvesting early at the cost of total yield, or growing a cultivar bred to hold it, and either way the biomass per gram is far higher than for cannabidiol. Thirty five dollars a gram against twenty nine for the cannabidiol slab in the concentrate range understates the underlying gap, since the cannabidiol version is nearer 99 percent and this one is a lower commercial grade.

Behaving like the CBD slab, and where it does not

Buying a cbg isolate slab therefore gets you a different molecule rather than a different experience of the same one, and the only honest reason to pay the premium is that cannabigerol is what you came for.

On a nail the two are hard to tell apart: both melt clean, neither tastes of anything, and both leave no residue. Where a CBG isolate slab differs is at the margins. Cannabigerol crystallises less readily than cannabidiol, so the slab form is harder to produce consistently and the assay percentage is usually a point or two lower. It also sits at a slightly different melting point. Those are handling differences rather than a quality judgement.

What no terpenes means

No flavour at all, which on an isolate is unavoidable: crystallisation removes the terpene fraction along with everything else, so any flavour would have to be added back deliberately. The shatters and waxes on this shelf do exactly that, at a cost per milligram. A CBG isolate slab is the plainest thing in the format and priced accordingly for what it is, with the per milligram figure under the price so it can be held against the flavoured options.

Testing every lot

Every lot is assayed by an independent laboratory: the cannabinoid profile with the assay percentage, residual solvents in parts per million next to the action limits, heavy metals, pesticides and microbials. Residual solvents matter on anything crystallised, because the process uses solvent and those figures are the evidence it came back out. Lots under their stated purity are withdrawn from sale and the failing certificate stays published alongside the passing ones, which is explained in why we publish the batch that failed.

What is published on cannabigerol

Much less than on cannabidiol, and most of it preclinical. Cannabigerol has been studied in cell culture and animal models, with a small human literature that includes survey work and a 2024 placebo controlled crossover using a single 20 mg oral dose. There is no established human dose range and no approved medicine containing it. Inhaled dosing of cannabigerol is barely studied at all. Those sentences describe published studies and their doses rather than claims about this gram, and the indexed papers sit at the National Center for Biotechnology Information.

Unflavoured bulk material sold by weight, and nothing here suggests a quantity. Keep it sealed, cool and dry. The certificate for the current lot is linked here.
